We have another great post here! This time I want to speak about coats and what styles are in trend this year. I know, many of you hate cold season for freezing mornings, bad hair days (it can happen in the summertime as well), dry and itchy skin. Frankly speaking, I love Wintertime for a great selection of cozy clothes and amazing layering techniques you can create with your clothes. As I have already mentioned, we are about to talk about cold season outerwear called COATS and I am happy to share with you a stunning collection of all sorts of coat styles, including shearling coats, wrap designs, fur styles, long coats, camel coats and outerwear pieces with statement embroidery and details. So, what are you waiting for, let’s begin our trip!
There are no secret coat styles that are going to rock, but designers and fashion brands have been inspired by the past decades offering us updated outerwear pieces with freshly new details. Some of these jackets you have already seen before, but you definitely should check them out to make sure you follow new trends. Just make sure you are not wearing all sort of preppy and polished coats, they are not so trendy anymore.
A new season is about deconstructed coats, big shapes, and slouchy fit. Better keep it relaxed and somewhat hobo inspired. Anyway, my first favorite is a shearling coat. This is a vintage inspired style that has a kind of 1970’s nostalgia and rock and roll vibes. You need to create a rugged and cool look with a more sophisticated and polished vibe. Next style is the one made of fur. This gorgeous and luxe outerwear ain’t going anywhere. You are free to buy a real one or faux fur coat. If the weather is not so cold, then you can always rely on fur vest.
This 2018 comes with short hair coats, but you can give a try to fluffy ones completed in funky prints. I do recommend to create a kind of luxe look mixed with an edgy touch, I mean go for a lush fur coat and wear it over ripped jeans and edgy ankle boots.
Next stop is an extra long coat. Make sure your coat is long, so you can keep your legs warm. I do recommend to try on a mini skirt, so while your walks you can show off your pretty legs. Yes, it’s a kind of sultry touch, but it’s totally worth it. Why do I love long coats so much? Well, for their extremely dramatic appearance. Anyway, moving further…
I see camel coats which are still going strong. Look for draped designs in relaxed silhouettes. You can easily team them with casual basics, as well as with dressy separates or dresses. If you are more into play look, then how about creating a real statement? You will need a kind of printed design or the one embellished with cool details or embroideries. Think of bright colors, rich fabric, perfect size and cut. I can be a coat with extra vintage appearance, with extra big sleeves, etc. Make sure your coat is a piece of art.
